Work at Home Projects You Can Really Make Money From (vs. All the Scams) You get several emails a day and see many advertisements that say that you can make all this money from home. But really can you make money sitting at home? The tight economy is making many of us look for work at home options to supplement a full time job, bring in an income for a stay at home parent, or just offer up a little extra cash in the budget. You have probably seen a lot of offers for work at home jobs, ranging from the TV infomercials that promise riches to friends that may be actually making it work at home. Unfortunately, many work at home opportunities are scams and may leave you out money. A few simple guidelines and tips can help you make money from home and allow you to avoid the risk of losing money. You do need to know a few things about any work at home offer you might come across. First, if it sounds too good to be true, it simply is. No one is going to get rich doing anything advertised on a late night infomercial. Moreover, offers like this are scams and will typically result in a waste of your time and loss of money. Piecework is typically also a scam, whether it is small scale assembly or envelope stuffing. You should always receive a clear contract, payment terms and have a good understanding of your work. Take the time to be sure that you are being paid fairly for your time. If you have great freelance skill possibilities, you may not need to consider typical work at home options and can use your own resources to make money at home. Without a viable set of skills, you may be looking at other options. There are many home sales companies that have a good reputation and can help you to make extra money. Choose an established company, and be sure that you have the social network in place to book parties and sell well if you are considering this option. Other work at home options that are viable as a long term career include medical transcription, bookkeeping, accounting services and other simple office outsourcing work. You may find companies that offer phone service from home as well, with only minimal technical requirements. You might also consider starting your own business, either in person or web based to create a home based career. Day care, pet sitting, and even home organization are all viable home business options. With any of these options, if you are taking a work at home job with a company, do research the company to be sure that they are working above board and have a clearly written contract. Be smart about work at home opportunities. No one will pay you to do nothing at all, but with some thought and planning you can earn an income from home in your pajamas. Keep in mind that home based work does require dedication, hard work, and self motivation in order to succeed.
