YOUR WEEKLY AGENDA
I've come to realize that the key to maximizing time in your day is to prepare. But preparation can take many different forms. Therefore, to make it plain and simple, I tackle the time in my life in a "week-by-week" manner.

At the onset of every week I set my agenda, goals, and the other "things-that-need-to-get-done" tasks. Among these lay the ever important CLEAN-and-PREPARE tasks.

This task in my opinion is one of the most important in my weekly routine. Reason being, it entails one of our most important daily requirements: FOOD.

Since we all eat generally three meals a day, don't you agree that the more prepared you are for the daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner rituals, the more time, money, and energy you'll save?

For example, I know that at the onset of every Sunday evening, if I plan out the my daily meals, I'll be saving more money since I won't find myself needing to spend $20+ dollars at restaurants or $8 at fast food establishments just for a single meal.

I also find that planning my daily meals inspires me to eat healthier, which in turn helps me lose weight (My goal is to shed 25 pounds). In my mind I think of it as "Since I get to choose what I'm packing for lunch, why not pack something that is healthy and nutritious?"

In my case, I do not have the option of "leaving" for lunch so fast food is not even an option. Therefore I can specifically designate what will be eaten at work since that's all I can actually get my hands on.

Breakfast is handled strickly in the morning before I leave for work, so I make sure I only have what I like, but what is healthy also. Things such has fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and the occasional, waffle, pancake, bagels, and biscuits.

So now all that remains is the potentially dangerous dinner selection.

However, since I prepared on Sunday evening and I took the extra time to plan out my weekly meals, I know I already have what I'll need to prepare my evening meal.

Generally when I get home from work around 4:30pm, I start preparing since I don't want to eat to late in the evening. I also try and cook enough so that I'll have leftovers, perfect for the following day's lunch option. If not, I can always freeze, or use the leftovers as a compliment to my next meal that is on my agenda.

For example, if I'm cooking chicken, any leftover scraps or pieces, I can use the following day for a "chicken caeser salad' or even a "chicken tacos with beans and rice". I rarely throw any food away. I'm always trying to find a use for it.

Hopefully this article has given you some inspiration that you can take with you and incorporate into your weekly agenda. Once you get into this weekly ritual, you'll find that not only are you saving time/money, but you may also find yourself wanting to eat healthier.
