10 MINUTE KITCHEN PREPARATION

Since the kitchen is the source of all power, I find that preparing it once a week is vital to my readiness for the upcoming week.

However since time is always a constant struggle, I run through my weekly 10 mintue kitchen prep routine.

Since a clean kitchen reflects readiness and promotes a desire to be in it, it's imperative that it's cleaned on a weekly basis. THIS CAN BE DONE IN 10 MINUTES once it's set up how you want it to be. What I mean by this, is once you take the time and throughly clean out the kitchen including all the cupboards and storage spaces, and set it up to your liking, then weekly maintenace should only take approximately 10-15 mintues.

PRECLEAN - Take an inventory of your what's inside your refrigerator/cupboards. Make a list of the food/items you need to purchase for the upcoming week. I prefer to do this on Sunday so I am prepared for all the week's meals.

Once you're ready, this is what I do:

1. Clear out all the chairs, trash cans, and items that are moveable. (1min)

2. Also make sure all table tops are clear of items/dishes (1min)

4. Wipe down all countertops, dishes put in dishwasher, turn on (2min)

3. While you are filling up your "mopping" bucket with hot water, sweep the floor prepping for mopping. (2min)

4. Mop floor (4min)

5. While it's drying, I go to the market with my list of all the things I need for the upcoming week. By the time I return, the kitchen is dry and dishes are done. Everything is ready to be placed back in their places and my supermarket stockpile gets placed where it belongs.

You'll find that prepping the kitchen every week is a great way to prepare for each upcoming week.
